This paper x-rayed the spate of violence against women by using Mrs. Osinachi who died due to injuries she suffered from domestic assaults as a case study. It espoused the counsels and teaching of the Christian doctrines and how these are employed to manipulate women to accept and continue to endure the harsh and intimidating relationships with their spouses.

This study examined the influences of parental divorce on children’s education in some selected secondary schools in Egor Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria. The linear regression at .05 level of significance and displayed on ANOVA table was adopted. A sample of 50 secondary school students was randomly selected from 5 schools respectively, which totaled 250 participants. The instrument for the study is a Likert type scale of twenty items questionnaire, administered twice to twenty children from divorced homes that were not to be part of the study, after three weeks.
